Privacy notes for EDH Compass

EDH Compass is a static discovery tool. These notes explain what stays in your browser, what optional analytics can load after consent, what data sources the app uses, and what happens when you open external links.

No account or profile

EDH Compass does not require an account and does not send your quiz answers to a user profile. The app runs in your browser against local static data files.

Local browser storage

The app may store quiz answers in commander-compass-answers, the selected color theme in commander-compass-theme and your analytics consent record in commander-compass-analytics-consent using your browser's localStorage. The analytics record includes your choice, timestamp, language and notice version. Clearing browser storage removes those saved preferences.

Optional analytics

EDH Compass can use optional Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage, such as page views and broad interaction trends. It is off by default and only loads after you accept analytics. You can reject analytics or change your choice from the analytics settings control in this section.

Data sources and card images

The commander dataset is derived from Scryfall card data and then enriched with local recommendation tags. Card names, rules text, mana symbols and card images belong to their respective owners. Result cards can load images from cards.scryfall.io.

Fonts and static assets

The site loads Google Fonts for typography and local assets for interface icons, affiliate category images and the social preview image. Mana symbol assets are local functional copies provided through Scryfall resources.

External links and affiliates

External links are provided for optional purchases. Product links are Amazon affiliate links and do not affect commander scoring. Product images are generic local illustrations, not Amazon product images. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
